  • What is the Cardinal Nest?
    The Cardinal Nest is a room at Middleton High School where MHS & CSCS students who need a little extra help can obtain daily necessities such as food, personal hygiene items, clothing, and school supplies.
  • Can all students access the Cardinal Nest?
    If a student requests a visit to the Cardinal Nest, the request will not be questioned. We trust that students who do not need the items in the Nest will respect our mission to provide essential items for students-in-need.
  • How do I access the Cardinal Nest?
    The Cardinal Nest is in Room 1154 and is open Monday through Friday. A Days: 11:15 am to 12:45 pm during lunch B Days: 2:00 pm to 3:45 pm during ASR You are also invited to ask any MHS staff member to visit the Nest.
  • How many items can I get from the Nest?
    There is not a limit on food to prepare for home. Snacks are limited to two per student per day. Toiletries, school supplies, home essentials and clothing are limited to one item per type. For example, one shampoo, one toothpaste, etc. You may consume items during the school day or keep your items for when you get home.
  • Do you have bags for me to use?
    We have paper & plastic grocery bags in the Cardinal Nest.
  • I don’t want to carry my items during the school day. Where can I put my bag until the end of the school day?
    You are welcome to keep your bag at the MHS Front Office and pick it up at the end of the day. You can find tape and markers in the Nest to label your bag.
  • There is an item I think should be at the Nest, how do I make a suggestion?
    Please use this anonymous Google form to make suggestions! Use the QR code to access the Google Form.
  • I need something that is unique for me. How can I get it?
    The same Google Form can be used for specific requests.
